Monica Garcia is reigniting drama from Real Housewives of Salt Lake City with explosive allegations aimed at a former castmate following the show’s season finale.
After several housewives appeared to suggest that Meredith Marks struggles with substance abuse, Monica took to Instagram on January 7 to call out alleged hypocrisy.
Without naming names, Monica claimed one castmate hid cocaine in her luggage during BravoCon. “We ready to talk about how worried you were that people would possibly find your c*ke stash in your suitcase at BravoCon??” she wrote. “Or are we still playing it like others have the substance abuse problems?”
Monica later doubled down in a video, insisting her issue was not drug use itself. “Let me just be very clear here: I do not care what you put in your nose,” she said. “But what I don’t agree with is you being a drunk and yelling at people for drinking.”
Earlier in the week, Monica also referenced an alleged incident involving alcohol that she said was hidden from viewers. “Meredith wasn’t the one taken away in an ambulance to the ER for alcohol poisoning,” she wrote, adding “allegedly” and accusing the cast of protecting one of their own.
Monica exited The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in January 2024 following a turbulent first season on the show. The Bravo star became a central figure in the season’s drama after it was revealed that she was secretly behind an Instagram fan account that mocked and trolled several of her castmates. The revelation shocked viewers and fellow housewives alike.
After the finale aired, questions quickly arose about her future on the series. Executive producer Andy Cohen later addressed the decision, explaining that producers chose to put Monica on pause rather than immediately bring her back, adding that the move was made to give the cast and production time to assess how the dynamic could move forward after such an explosive season.
