‘RHOP’s Wendy Osefo’s Husband Eddie Now ‘At Risk’ Of Losing His Law License

Eddie Osefo, the husband of Real Housewives of Potomac star, Dr. Wendy Osefo, could be at risk of losing his law license following his recent arrest for fraud.

“Most States, including D.C., do institute discipline for attorneys convicted of fraud or other crimes of moral turpitude. Typically, they wait until resolution of [the] criminal case but in extreme cases they may ask criminal court to make not practicing law a condition of bond,” Texas criminal defense attorney Sam Bassett told Us Weekly.

Wendy is facing 16 charges, including seven felonies, for allegedly providing false or misleading information in connection with fraud exceeding $300 and one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to an officer.

Her husband, Eddie Osefo, an attorney, is facing 18 charges—nine charges of felony false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300. Eight of his charges are for misdemeanor on false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300, and a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to an officer.

“Eddie Osefo is at risk of losing his license. A state bar agency could definitely revoke his law license, especially upon conviction,” Bassett continued, remarking that “generally, a license is always subject to review or revocation upon a felony arrest or conviction.”
