Stacey Rusch is giving her true opinions on Gizelle Bryant’s role in The Real Housewives of Potomac.
While speaking with Vulture, Stacey said Gizelle is the cast member whose personality does not change when the cameras stop rolling.
“Gizelle Bryant is exactly who she is on-camera,” Stacey said. “You get what you get, 24/7, lights on or lights off, cameras up or cameras down.” Stacey added, “Gizelle is just going to be Gizelle.”
Asked who she sees as RHOP’s villain, Stacey again named the former First Lady.
“Every show needs a villain,” she continued. “And some people are just organically made to fill that role. And we all know who we’re talking about: Gizelle.”
Gizelle is known for giving newcomers a hard time. Stacey expressed her frustrations with having to deal with so much drama during her debut season. She told Vulture she spent much of the season “fighting for my life” and dealing with “all the lies that weren’t lies,” which kept the women from getting to know her “quirky and joyous” personality.
“I think, unfortunately, I spent a lot of time last season, you know, fighting for my life,” Stacey told the outlet, adding that the drama kept the cast from really getting to know her.
Stacey and Gizelle have clashed before. In January, Stacey responded after questioning her reconciliation with her husband, Thiemo Rusch.
“I am in a relationship where I feel safe, supported, and deeply loved,” Stacey said at the time. “And I don’t think Gizelle recognizes that.”
Stacey also called Gizelle’s bestie, Ashley Darby, “wishy-washy” and “messy.”
