Real Housewives of Potomac will move forward with filming the show’s tenth season without Karen Huger, who will be serving out her DUI prison sentence behind bars.
Sources spilled the tea to PEOPLE and said that even though the show will go on, Karen has not been fired from the series, meaning she could return as soon as she is a free woman.
Karen was sentenced to two years in prison with a year suspended, meaning she could spend 12 months behind bars.
The Grande Dame has 30 days to appeal the judge’s decision and 90 days to ask the judge to reconsider his sentence.
The judge was reportedly very upset with Karen in court as she is now on her fourth DUI.
“The judge said Karen is no stranger to drinking while driving on our roads When she got a PBJ in 2007 one would think Ms. Huger learned her lesson. In 2008 [before] the ink was dry on the other one, she was arrested again. He is not playing!!!!” Taria Faison, host of the What Else Is Going On Podcast, tweeted live from the courtroom.
