Real Housewives of Potomac star Nneka Ihim has reportedly been fired from the show after just one season.
Nneka and Wendy Osefo bumped heads on the show after Ashley Darby started a culture war on the show. Nneka claimed Wendy’s mother had harassed her and even tried to put a curse on her. Nneka accused Wendy of trying to stop her from joining the show.
Both Wendy and Nneka are Igbo.
A “traditional Igbo religion includes belief in a creator god (Chukwu or Chineke), an earth goddess (Ala), and numerous other deities and spirits as well as a belief in ancestors who protect their living descendants. Revelation of the will of the deities is sought by divination and oracles,” Britannica states, although most Igbo are now Christians.
An insider told AllAboutTheTea that “Wendy’s family is the Western equivalent of the ‘wrong side of the track. Her family and their ancestors have had bad reputations because of evils stemming from past generations. They are ‘osu,’ essentially cursed.”
The news was first announced by The Jasmine Brand but has not been confirmed by Nneka.
Ashley apologized for starting the drama.
