Monique Samuels opened up about an unexpected message she received from Karen Huger after the Grand Dame was released from jail last fall, and she admitted the exchange did not sit well with her.
During last week’s episode of the Real Housewives of Potomac After Show, Samuels shared that Karen reached out shortly after returning home. “Karen sent me a text asking for my microblading person, and I was offended,” Monique said. She recalled the message reading, “Hi Monique. It’s Karen. Congratulations on season 10. I’m thinking about getting my eyebrows micro-ed again. Can you hook your sister up? Lol. Give the kids my best.”
Monique said she chose not to reply. “It didn’t feel like there was a friendship,” she explained. “Your first message to me is you asking me for something. I didn’t like it at all.”
The topic came up as castmates discussed whether Karen had grown from the experience. Some believed she had changed, while others questioned it. Monique admitted the text made her pause. “I’ve got Karen on pause right now because we need to talk,” she said.
Despite her feelings, Monique stressed she still wished Huger well. “I hope she’s found herself and is taking better care of her health,” she shared.
Ashley Darby echoed that sentiment, saying she hoped Karenhad time to reflect. For Monique, the message was less about brows and more about boundaries.
