Monique Samuels stayed calm on The Real Housewives of Potomac when the group revisited her past with ex-husband Chris Samuels. After Keiarna Stewart mentioned that Stacey Rusch had once gone out with Chris,
Monique reminded everyone that their split wasn’t recent and said she’s only concerned that “whoever he dates is good with our kids.”
Tension bubbled up again when Keiarna claimed Stacey told Chris that Monique spoke poorly about him. Stacey pushed back, showing Monique text messages from Chris that she said she never answered.
Monique later admitted she couldn’t tell who was being truthful, adding she’s wary of Cookie, a former friend she says misrepresented herself and talked about her behind her back.
Speaking with Angela Yee, Monique addressed a newly circulated video of her getting affectionate with her former radio co-host Jason. She said the two connected during a complicated time for both of them.
“We were great friends… and then it turned romantic,” she explained, noting they had each been quietly separated from their partners. According to Monique, the video wasn’t leaked by accident. “My ex-husband actually leaked it,” she claimed.
She said Chris received the clip from someone she once trusted and used it as pressure to discourage her from returning to TV or releasing her book. Monique also pointed out that the video first appeared on one of Cookie’s “fake Twitter pages.”
“He tried to use that video to intimidate me,” she said, adding that although she expected it to surface eventually, “I just didn’t know when.”
Watch Monique explain it all in the clip above.
