Keiarna Stewart is setting the record straight after a blogger resurfaced details from a past bankruptcy filing went viral online.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star addressed the situation head-on, saying she refuses to let old paperwork define her present.
“I’m aware that a personal financial moment from 2023 is being treated like scandal,” Keiarna said in a statement shared with The Neighborhood Talk. “I want to be clear because transparency matters to me. Bankruptcy is not a character flaw. It’s a legal option people use when they take real risks and choose to rebuild.”
Keiarna explained that her success did not come from playing it safe or avoiding setbacks. “I’m the first Black woman to own a medical spa of its kind in Baltimore,” she said. “That didn’t happen overnight. Real growth comes with lessons, detours, and resilience.”
The reality star added that she is proud of how far she has come since that period. “I live a real life,” she said. “That includes ambition, risk, rebuilding, and moving forward. I’m still standing and I’m still building.”
The comments came after a blogger cited court records tied to her 2023 filing, reigniting rumors raised during a recent reunion taping. Keiarna made it clear she has no regrets about being open. “That chapter doesn’t define me,” she said. “What matters is where I’m going next.”
