“Real Housewives” star Karen Huger will be spending the next 12 months in jail after a judge sentenced her to two years with one year of the sentence suspended.
The Grande Dame was found guilty of DUI, negligent driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, and failure to notify of a change in address.
She was acquitted of reckless driving, but prosecutors had been pushing for her to do time behind bars as the March 2024 incident was reportedly her fourth DUI.
Karen claimed that it was her withdrawal from anti-depressants that caused the accident, but after being arrested several times before for driving while under the influence, everybody had expected Karen to do at least some time in jail.
Karen will also have to pay $2900 in fines. Once she is released, she cannot drive for 12 months, and she will also have to serve five years of supervised probation with a car breathalyzer upon release.
Karen was reportedly taken straight into custody after receiving her sentence.
