The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger was hit with her second DUI this year, but the Grande Dame denies she is addicted to alcohol.
“I don’t have a drinking problem, let’s be very clear, but all of us have accidents. So, it’s still being adjudicated, and I can’t talk about it, but I’ll say this: the girls are human, and what makes me the Grand Dame is that I’m able to see who they are in that moment,” she told EXTRA TV. “Everybody likes a little shine from the Dame, so I gave it to them.”
Karen was driving her 2017 Maserati when the Montgomery County Police Department pulled her over. The reality star was officially charged with driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Bravo premiered the first episode of the show’s 9th season yesterday, which includes a reenactment, but Karen claimed that she turned to alcohol following a series of traumatic events, including the death of her father, the breakdown of her marriage, and her financial issues.
