Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant has reacted to former castmate Mia Thornton’s announcement that she is exiting the show.
“Mia Thornton announced yesterday that she would not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season. What was your reaction?” a reporter from Decider asked Gizelle.
“I was not shocked. There was no shocker there,” Gizelle replied. “I think, yeah. Her … her time of lying was over. Yeah.”
Mia faced backlash this season after making explosive claims about her split from Gordon Thornton.
During the cast trip to Panama, Mia claimed that Gordon had taken their children, and she had no idea where they were. She broke down in tears several times, but some of the Housewives became suspicious. When she later learned they were safe with their former nanny, Mia decided to head to Atlanta to visit her boyfriend, Inc., instead of immediately returning home to check on her kids.
Mia and Gizelle also bumped heads after Mia suggested that Gizelle’s daughters were “running wild,” Gizelle fired back, labeling Mia “a terrible mother,” during the season reunion which led to Mia walking off the set.
