Ashley Darby is opening up about where things stand with Wendy Osefo after their tense interaction at BravoCon.
While appearing on Housewives Nightcap, the Real Housewives of Potomac star explained that she and Wendy are no longer in touch following a moment that played out on stage.
“No,” Ashley said when asked if they’ve spoken since. “Wendy and I had an interaction at BravoCon.”
Ashley traced the tension back to a joke she made earlier in the season, acknowledging that it crossed a line.
“It was actually the day she got arrested,” she said, referencing a comment she made publicly. “I made a joke, which in hindsight was probably a little too sensitive. At the time, I went a little hard on it.”
Wanting to clear the air, Ashley said she approached Wendy directly. “When we went to BravoCon, I was like, ‘Hey, I just want to say that I’m sorry for how hard I went, how heavy it was,’” she explained. Ashley added that her apology was centered on Wendy’s family. “Mainly because of her children. Her children are able to read and see and hear things.”
According to Ashley, the conversation did not go smoothly. “Of course she got a little nasty about it, and that’s fine,” she said. “But that really doesn’t change the facts of the matter.”
