Jill Zarin faced swift backlash after sharing a video rant criticizing Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance, which she later deleted.

In the video, Zarin voiced frustration over the show being performed largely in Spanish.

“It was the worst halftime show ever,” she said. “I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish.” She went on to suggest the performance carried political undertones, adding, “Two hundred and fifty years of America we are celebrating. To me, it looked like a political statement.”

Zarin also took issue with the visuals and choreography, calling them unsuitable for a family audience. She further stirred a reaction by making comments about Lady Gaga’s appearance, saying she did not recognize the singer and had to look her up online.

The remarks quickly spread across social media, prompting criticism from viewers who defended Bad Bunny’s tribute to Latin culture. The performance marked the first Super Bowl halftime show delivered entirely in Spanish. They also defended Lady Gaga considering Zarin appeared to have had some work done on her face.

Zarin was not alone in her reaction. Taylor Armstrong also shared a post criticizing the show. “I am embarrassed for the NFL and Apple,” she wrote, referencing the language and imagery used during the set.
