The cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are reportedly blaming Teresa Giudice’s feud with her sister in law Melissa Gorga for the poor ratings this season.
Season 14 is the series’ lowest-rated episode in history pulling in less than 700,000 viewers.
“It seems like the cast is in part blaming Teresa and Melissa’s feud for the poor ratings and the uncertain future,” an insider The U.S. Sun. “Fans followed their relationship since Melissa became a housewife in season three and they want to continue to see the ups and downs.”
Housewives who have sided with Melissa are refusing to film with Teresa and her crew. The divide has led to dull episodes, and the show’s reunion has been canceled.
“And as of last week, the cast each got a phone call from the network and said to no longer hold the date because they’re not going to have a traditional reunion,” the insider added. “There’s no resolution to how this season ends,” and once the “dramatic” finale airs, “it will become clear why there’s no reunion.”
This was cosigned by Andy Cohen, who told viewers that the show’s finale will answer all of their questions.
