Jennifer Pedranti says her son was among several people involved in a brush fire near their Southern California community.

“I would like to clear up the rumblings of my son having involvement in the Ladera Ranch fire,” the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 49, wrote on her Instagram Story Thursday. “He and others were involved.”

Jennifer said she and her former husband, Will Pedranti, are treating the matter seriously. She joined RHOC during season 17 and is raising a blended family of teenagers with her fiancé, Ryan Boyajian.

“This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community,” she continued. “This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family.”

Firefighters responded to two blazes in Ladera Ranch within three days. A July 5 brush fire was contained to 1.31 acres, according to the Orange County Fire Authority. A second vegetation fire on July 7 grew to seven acres before crews stopped its spread.

Jennifer did not specify which fire involved her son AND said no one was injured and no property was damaged.

“The fire and police were absolutely amazing and gave these boys a lesson they will never forget,” she wrote.

Although no arrests were made, Jennifer said “consequences for actions are being put into place.” Her son will also complete a fire safety course.

“We will make sure our son learns from this accident,” she added.
