‘RHOC’s Heather Dubrow Denies Using Her Son’s Transition To ‘Stay Relevant’

Real Housewives of Orange County star Heather Dubrow is denying allegations that she shared her son Ace’s transition to “remain relevant.”

“The other thing that I saw was that talking about my son was [a way] to remain relevant or to create a storyline on a show,” she said on her podcast. “Neither of these things are true. They are the farthest thing from the truth,” she said, remarking that she would never “leverage” her children for “content.”

Heather insists that she is addressing it publicly to protect her children.

“As a mom, you know, you look at your kids and all you want to do is protect them. You want to protect them, you want to put helmets on them, you want to wrap them in bubble wrap and just pray that nothing ever hurts them physically or emotionally, and of course that’s what I want to do with my kids,” she said.

“The truth of our lives is that we have been in the public eye for many years, and my son has been in the public eye since he was nine months old. As much as we want to protect them – and that is our number one priority and our number one goal … in the last few months became apparent, that we needed to say something.”
