Alexis Bellino has earned Real Housewives of Potomac’s villain title this year but she says that the hate only brought her closer to Shannon Beador’s ex-fiance, John Janssen.
“It’s been very difficult,” Alexis told Decider. “It did kind of just take the back burner. It was almost like I’m invincible, they thought or something, or I was just the villain to begin with.”
She continued, “It’s brought John and I a lot closer just because of the hate … [But] it’s bleeding over to our children now. So enough’s enough. And yeah, it’s not good now.”
Alexis is currently facing major pushback from fans after she revealed that John has damning video evidence of Shannon the night of her DUI and threatened to leak the videos if Shannon refused to play ball.
Viewers and fellow castmates accused the couple of trying to extort Shannon and were disgusted by the threats, leading to some calling for Alexis to be booted from the show.
“I don’t want to mention them. I’m with the guy all the time, I don’t need to talk about him all day, too. But it does make it look like I do because they’re asking me questions and then that’s what you see,” she explained. “So I just snapped. And I shouldn’t have. And they were never meant to be brought into this public forum at all.”
Viewers say Alexis’ entire storyline this year is about Shannon and that she needs to focus on her own life.
