Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino revealed that she underwent a reconstructive breast surgery she describes as both “urgent” and “unexpected” just days before she tied the knot to fiancé John Janssen.
“I had to go in for what I called a kind of emergency boob job,” Alexis shared during a recent episode of the Two Ts in a Pod podcast with hosts Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp. “It wasn’t exactly life-or-death, but something had to be done.”
According to the reality star, one of her implants had hardened and started shifting upward before doctors later discovered that one had also ruptured.
“My left side was rising up under my chin,” she shared.
Tamra then quipped, “That wouldn’t look great in a wedding dress!”
Alexis later told People magazine that her latest surgery, performed in mid-April, wasn’t her first. The mom of three revealed she’s undergone multiple procedures since getting her first implants at 19. Over the years, she’s battled recurring complications and painful symptoms, including tightening and swelling in her chest.
“When I started feeling numbness and tingling in my arms, I knew I couldn’t ignore it,” she said. “My left breast was lifting higher and higher… it was even noticeable in pictures.”
She decided on smaller replacements, paired with surgical mesh for added support. “I went smaller,” she joked. “So, ‘Jesus Jugs’ is officially retired…maybe it’s ‘Little Jugs’ now.”
Months after the operation, Alexis posted a raw video revealing she was still healing. “No one knows this, but I’m on my fourth or fifth boob job. This one? Not happy. […] I’ve told all my daughters — no boob jobs. You don’t need to change yourself. You’re already enough.”
