Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino is defending Katie Ginella after Housewives discovered she had been secretly recording them.
Katie initially denied the allegations but was forced to admit that she had recorded Shannon Beador during a breakdown, once it was revealed that she had played the recording to some of the cast.
“Part of the problem with Katie this season is she hasn’t owned up to the truth when the things happened, but then she owns up later. I think that’s where it gets a little confusing. You can’t lie and then come back and say, ‘Oh, but yes I did,’ and do that multiple times without the red flags starting to come up for the other women. The other problem … She freezes up and you can’t freeze up as a housewife. If you freeze every single situation, you can’t get your plots out,” she said on Reality With The King.
Katie has been caught in more than one lie on the show, and viewers are concerned that she may not return for another season, as many of the Housewives have turned against her.
Alexis offered up some advice on how to move forward.
She continued, “If anyone thinks they’re gonna go on a reality show and they’re gonna be able to shove things under the rug, or just make a cover-up or not tell the truth, the truth’s gonna come out. There’s no way you’re gonna go an entire season and not have the reality and the truth come to fruition. [Katie’s] trying to make up two separate worlds, like, my private is my private life, and my TV life is my TV life, and that’s a mistake to be made by anyone that’s on a reality TV show because I’m sorry, it’s all one. It all becomes one. And you can’t do cover-ups. You can’t lie.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.
