Kyle Richards is opening up about the demise of her longtime friendship with Dorit Kemsley as their tension takes center stage in season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The trailer already hinted at turmoil, and Kyle says the strain comes down to communication. Dorit “is not open minded,” she shared, explaining that “when she has something in her head, that’s it,” which makes conversations difficult. “It’s really frustrating to try to have a conversation with her.”
The emotional toll has been heavy, especially with Erika Jayne stepping into the conflict. Kyle described the season as feeling like “two steps forward, three steps back.”
Any hope of reconciliation faded as filming went on. “I would love to say we’re in a better place now, but it got worse, and things came to blows in Italy,” she said.
Their issues sit against the backdrop of Kyle’s past friendship with Dorit’s estranged husband, PK Kemsley. Kyle confirmed she no longer speaks to him.
Meanwhile, season 15 will show Dorit meeting with Kyle’s ex, Mauricio Umansky, something Kyle says she fully supported. Asked why that dynamic seemed acceptable while her own friendship with PK was not, Kyle admitted she’s puzzled. “That’s a good question to ask her,” she said, noting she was “totally fine” with Dorit and Mauricio spending time together.
