A new report has surfaced claiming that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio Umansky are faking their engagement to keep her on the show.
“If you know Kyle, you know that she just wanted a juicy storyline to save her spot on the Bravo series,” an insider claimed to Life & Style magazine. “She knows what she’s doing.”
Fans have wondered whether the split was all for show after Kyle shot down rumors that she has been dating country singer Wade Morgan. Some fans have even been calling for Kyle to be dropped from the show due to her being a “bully” to some of the Housewives, disloyal and boring.
Mauricio recently confirmed their separation but claimed they were trying to work on things.
The couple announced their split in July.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” they wrote. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
