‘RHOBH’s Erika Jayne Reeling After Estranged Husband Gets 7 Years for Fraud

Erika Jayne’s attorney has spoken out after her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, was sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of wire fraud.

“Erika spent many years with Tom; she is experiencing a wave of emotions,” attorney Jim Wilkes told The U.S. Sun. “I’m sure she’s emotionally destroyed, but there’s a part of her that’s shut off and compartmentalized.”

He continued, “If someone you loved and trusted, and everyone else told you to trust, broke every bit of trust you had in them and didn’t even tell you, covered it up, how would you feel?”

Girardi was convicted on four counts of wire fraud for embezzling over $15 million from his clients. Prosecutors allege he was playing his clients, including burn victims and families of plane crash victims, pocketing their settlement cash to bankroll his flashy lifestyle.

Erika Jayne maintains that she was unaware of Girardi’s shady dealings and hasn’t faced any charges. Still, she’s caught up in a $24 million lawsuit from Girardi’s bankruptcy trustee, who accuses her of benefiting from fraudulent transfers.
