Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne’s reaction to the news that her estranged husband Tom Girardi was found guilty in his fraud trial was captured by Bravo cameras.
The guilty verdict was announced in August 2024, and Erika reacted to the shocking news in an intimate conversation with her friend and co-star Kyle Richards.
“I could have never saw this coming. Tom was loved, he was admired, he was accomplished,” she said in a confessional. “And this is how his story ended. I don’t know that I’ll ever get over that.”
A jury convicted Girardi on four counts of wire fraud after federal prosecutors accused him of stealing $15 million in settlement funds from clients.
“Right before this verdict, I was doing so good, I was feeling good, I was excited. And then the next day, I became tired. I started to want to sleep a lot,” she continued.
Erika is now gearing up for her own trial after being sued for more than $24 million in a civil lawsuit brought by Girardi’s bankruptcy trustee, Elissa Miller. Erika denies knowing that her husband had embezzled funds from his clients.
