Bozoma Saint John is addressing backlash following a comment made about Amanda Frances on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Taking to her followers on Instagram, Bozoma says, “It looks like I accidentally stepped in it on this one,” she said. “How many of us sometimes say slick things, forget we said the slick thing, and then stand 10 toes down that we didn’t say it?”

She continued, “That’s what happened on this week’s episode.”

Bozoma has faced some backlash for repeatedly accusing Amanda Frances of being a scammer, but viewers believe that she has taken things too far and her criticism has morphed into bullying.

Boz also issued an apology. “Amanda, I apologize for hurting your feelings,” she said. “I really, really do. I didn’t mean to do that.” Explaining her side of things, she added, “We are here. We are talking about our lives in the most honest way possible. It’s not often pretty.”

The famous corporate executive says she did not intend for her blunt feedback to cause the newbie any pain. “One, get a better poker face,” she said. “Two, don’t say slick things that hurt people’s feelings. My bad.”

Meanwhile, co-star Dorit Kemsley weighed in on the situation. “I just think it was a very flippant comment,” she said. “A nothing, and it was made into something so much bigger.”

Saint John then hinted that the conversation may continue. “Next time, we’ll talk about what we were really talking about underneath all of this,” she said.
