Former NFL player and sportscaster Marcellus Wiley, who is also the husband of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Annemarie Wiley, spent the holiday weekend in custody after being arrested on a domestic battery charge in Florida.

Orange County arrest records show Marcellus, 51, was taken into custody on Saturday, July 4.

Authorities had not released details about what led to the arrest.

Marcellus has also faced several sexual assault accusations. Court filings in May included claims from a former ESPN employee and three additional women.

The former employee accused Marcellus of assaulting her in a hotel room in 2009 after inviting her there under false pretenses. Other filings include allegations related to his years at Columbia University and the start of his NFL career. Marcellus has denied the claims.

“I’m going to continue to challenge all these false accusations,” he said in a May 5 YouTube video.

Marcellus was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1997 and later played for the Chargers, Cowboys and Jaguars. After retiring in 2006, he moved into broadcasting, working for ESPN and Fox Sports and appearing on programs including NFL Live and SportsNation.

His wife joined RHOBH during Season 13 and did not return for a second season. Viewers called for Bravo not to renew her contract, as she was widely unpopular.
