Pinky Cole is setting the record straight about her business setbacks and her life as a newbie on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Speaking on Way Up With Angela Yee, the Slutty Vegan founder responded after fellow Housewife Angela Oakley suggested she behaves like a “know-it-all” when discussing entrepreneurship.
“I don’t think I know everything, but I got a lot of expertise,” Pinky said.
“I know what it feels like to raise $33 million dollars,” she continued. “I know what it feels like to file bankruptcy. I know what it feels like to go through a restructure.”
Pinky also spoke about her marital issues with her husband, Derrick Hayes, admitting that their relationship became strained while her business faced hardships.
“It got tough at home,” she said. “I got depressed.”
Viewers were surprised to learn on the show that Pinky filed for bankruptcy and informed some of her castmates before informing her husband.
“We’re gonna keep fighting,” she shared. “We locked in like skin.”
The entrepreneur also shut down rumors that she had lost her home, explaining that one of her investment properties had been temporarily deemed abandoned before she regained access through court proceedings.
“But we went to court in two days, and I got my property back,” she said.
