During her interview on The View, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks revealed that she also considered skipping a career in television and instead pursued a career in politics.
“My favorite thing is politics. I always thought I was going to be the insurance commissioner because Geico put me through undergrad and law school. So, I just knew I was going to be the insurance commissioner,” she explained.
“Obviously, that didn’t happen. But I love politics. That’s why I love this show. And when you see stuff like the Big Beautiful Bill and Medicaid and all these things that affect the most vulnerable in our society being passed, I feel like I almost have a duty at some point to, you know seek office,” she continued.

Phaedra is already an attorney and owner of one of the most successful funeral homes in Atlanta. She would not be the first Bravo star to announce their intentions to dominate the political field.
This month, Married to Medicine star Dr. Heavenly Kimes announced her plans to run for Georgia House District 93, which covers parts of Lithonia, Stone Mountain, Decatur, and Stonecrest.
