The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kelli Ferrell’s ex-husband, Chuvalo Ferrell, is taking the reality star back to court in the hopes of having his child support payments lowered.
The former couple share three children: Chance, born in 2012, and twins Chasiti and Chelsi, born in 2015. Kelli, 40, filed for divorce from Chuavlo in 2022, which was finalized in September 2024.
Her ex-husband was ordered to pay $3,991 per month in child support as he was making $19,847 a month, and Kelli was reportedly making $15,000 per month, but now he says his income has changed.
Chuavlo states, “there has been a substantial change in his income and financial status… Specifically, that he is no longer working for the family business that was granted to [Kelli] and his income has been substantially reduced.”
Chuavlo spent time in jail last year for back child support, and it seems he is trying to prevent that from happening again but seeking out a more manageable arrangement.
“Mr. Ferrell appreciates the interest in his ongoing personal matters, but he is committed to focusing on his family and professional responsibilities during this challenging time,” his attorney told In Touch.
“It is important to note that the details surrounding his divorce from Kelli Potter-Ferrell are complex and sensitive. Mr. Ferrell has consistently sought to resolve these issues amicably and in the best interests of all parties involved, particularly their children.”
