K. Michelle says her fallout with Shamea Morton has nothing to do with choosing sides on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The singer fired back after Shamea suggested during a Watch What Happens Live appearance that K. Michelle had “jumped ship” and begun “choosing teams” within the cast.
“Me not messing with u has NOTHING to do with jumping ship,” Michelle wrote on X on July 19. “And you know this.”
K. Michelle initially defended Shamea throughout the season as other cast members questioned her. Fans later noticed that K. Michelle had reportedly unfollowed Shamea on Instagram, prompting speculation that their friendship had soured because of alliances on the show.
“The difference now is I don’t have to sit around & defend you all day,” K. Michelle wrote. “Dead that narrative now about teams cause u know thatS NOT whats happening.”
In another post, K. Michelle said Shamea had discussed her in three separate interviews while allegedly knowing the real reason they were no longer close.
“I don’t fall in line,” she wrote. “I can think for myself. I’m fair. I don’t deal with her cause of HER. Not cool 4 a so called friend.”
K. Michelle then claimed there was more to the story, asking Shamea to explain what happened between them.

“U scared about what I might tell,” she wrote. “Tell ’em why I don’t mess with u,” adding, “I’m loyal until I’m not.”
