Peter Thomas is the latest reality star to sit down with NeNe Leakes for her new YouTube show, where he opened up about his failed marriage to supermodel and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey.
According to Peter, his marriage began to deteriorate after he discovered that Cynthia’s mother and sister had attempted to conceal her marriage license to prevent them from getting married.
In a jaw-dropping twist during the Season 3 finale, Cynthia discovered that her marriage certificate had mysteriously vanished, and it was her sister, Malorie, and mother, Barbara, who were behind the disappearance.
Malorie later admitted that she felt the missing document might be a sign that Cynthia and Peter weren’t meant to get married. Cynthia seriously reconsidered saying “I do” just moments before heading down the aisle, but the certificate arrived just in time, and the wedding proceeded.
Peter says that Cynthia did not tell him about the incident and that he had to see it play out on screen five months later.
Fans reacted to Peter’s interview, stating that it was likely the fact that he used her money to fund his business and kept constantly putting them in debt, which negatively impacted their relationship the most.
