Brit Eady is opening up about a major life change just months after her brief stint on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The reality TV alum revealed that she and her husband are ending their marriage after five years together, sharing the news directly with fans on social media.
In a candid Instagram post, Eady explained that she is choosing honesty over appearances as she closes out the year.
“I’m posting this on the last day of 365 to remove this facade of faking like this marriage is going to work,” she wrote. “Everybody can’t come into the next chapter. I’m done hurting and I want to be happy in my next chapter.”
She also made it clear that speculation would not define her story.
“For the record, as much as I can’t stand him, we are not going to create a false narrative that I’m walking away because of any fake made up rumors,” Eady added.
The announcement arrives amid an already turbulent period for Eady, who is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Bravo. The former housewife has filed a $20 million lawsuit against the network following her absence from the season 16 reunion. In the filing, she references her on-screen conflict with Kenya Moore, alleging defamation, sexual harassment, and emotional distress.
