U.S. Rep. Mary Miller attended a rally with former President Donald Trump when she credited him for the Supreme Court overturning Roe VS Wade.
“I want to thank you for the historic victory for white life in the Supreme Court yesterday,” Miller said and clapped.
Miller’s spokesman, Isaiah Wartman, told the Associated Press that she misread her prepared speech and was supposed to say that the ruling was a victory for “right to life.”
“You can clearly see in the video … she’s looking at her papers and looking at her speech,” Wartman said.
Last year Miller came under fire after she quoted Adolf Hitler at a “Moms for America” event in Washington.
“Hitler was right on one thing. He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future,’” Miller said during the rally.
“I sincerely apologize for any harm my words caused and regret using a reference to one of the most evil dictators in history to illustrate the dangers that outside influences can have on our youth,” she said at the time.
