Drake fans are in shock this week as the reference tracks for popular Drake songs, “Mob Ties” and “Ratchet Happy Birthday” leaked online.
The “Mob Ties” reference track was seemingly written by Vory and while Drizzy appears to have changed some of the lyrics, the majority of the song remains the same.

“I did hear that Drake might’ve had some help on “Mob Ties” [Vory✍🏾]
and I’m not gon lie..
It felt like damn, if Drake aint write it..
Bc that was Drake with his back against the wall
It felt a way..

“Mob Times” is one of Drizzy’s most popular songs. DJ Akademiks, who credits Drake as his favorite rapper of all time, previously shot down the rumors that Vory had anything to do with “Mob Ties.”
“He [Vory] is credited, but he ain’t write NOTHING!!” said Ak. He also more recently stated that if he did find out that Drake did not write the song, he would be “devastated.” On The Joe Budden Podcast, Ak said it would “hurt my heart” to hear that Drizzy “got some help” on the song.
The song has 12 songwriters credited on the track.
