The Real Housewives of New Jersey is getting full cast reboot. And Media Take Out confirmed that the new cast I going to have a lot more color in it. Multiple Housewives will be Black.
Media Take Out spoke with multiple people close to production who tell us that the new vision for the Real Housewives of New Jersey is to be “a lot more Black.”
Bravo announced that they are rebooting the series, and firing almost all of the existing cast.
Bravo executives seem to be shying away from the all-white casts in the Housewives franchise, and replacing them with casts that look a lot more like the Atlanta franchise.
One producer explained, “Potomac Housewives get the best ratings, and Atlanta ratings are still very strong.”
The producer continued, “Beverly Hills and New York are still going to have mainly White casts, because it fits those brands. But New Jersey is going to get a lot more color in it.”
The producer added, “It’s just a numbers game. Black Housewives shows do better, so they’re giving the viewers what they want.”
We’re told that the producers are already looking at FOUR Black women for the show. The ladies, who have all signed NDAs, are all beautiful, successful, and married – we’re told. They also live in a wealthy Black enclave in New Jersey, called Montclair/South Orange.
