R&B superstar Monica Arnold is reportedly planning on getting married again, Media Take Out has learned. And the man to whom she will wed, according to two of Mo’s friends, is her lifelong love, rapper C-Murder.
There’s one problem with the marriage. Media Take Out confirmed that C-Murder is serving a life sentence in prison – and he’s not expected to EVER get out unless his case is overturned.
Media Take Out spoke with one of Monica’s friends who told us, “[C-Murder] and Monica are definitely together [in a relationship]. And [C-Murder] wants to marry Monica.”
The friend continued, “When I heard that [C-Murder] wanted to marry Monica, I was a bit surprised. But the way Monica is talking about [the proposal], I think she’s going to say yes.
The two spent Easter together. Look:
C-Murder was arrested in 2002 in connection with the murder of 16-year-old fan named Steve Thomas. According to prosecutors, the fan asked C-Murder for an autograph and the rapper beat him nearly to death, then shot him in cold blood.
On August 14, 2009, C-Murder was sentenced to life in prison. The rapper is currently incarcerated in the Louisiana State Penitentiary with no scheduled release date.
But his case was not all that cut-and-dry. Controversy surrounding witnesses in C-Murder’s prosecution erupted in 2018 when two major witnesses recanted their statements, claiming they were coerced into testifying against C-Murder by authorities.
C-Murder maintains his innocence, and he, his brothers, and his nephew have all repeatedly requested a new trial.
