Ray J is asking fans for help after a scary situation unfolded during a recent performance.
The singer and reality star says his heart monitor was taken from his chest while he was onstage, leaving him without vital medical data for nearly two weeks. Speaking to TMZ, Ray J explained that the device came loose while he jumped into the crowd during his song “One Wish.”
“I like to touch the people,” Ray J said. “But this time somebody took my heart monitor.”
The device is not just a gadget. Ray J says it plays a major role in managing his health. “If you have the heart monitor, just let us know how we can get it back,” he pleaded. “It’s important. I need it for analytics.”
Without the monitor, Ray J says his doctors are missing crucial information. “I don’t have no data for the past two weeks,” he shared. “It affects them prescribing me what I need. They can’t tell me if I need to slow down.”
He made it clear this is serious and not a publicity move. “This is not a theatrical campaign,” Ray J said, adding that he is willing to meet up, offer cash, or replace the device if needed.
The plea comes weeks after Ray J revealed his heart is functioning at just 25 percent following a hospital stay for pneumonia and heart pain.
