Hip-hop fans are mourning the reported death of Lotta Cash Desto—a rising Memphis rapper who worked with Lil Uzi Vert, Media Take Out has confirmed
Lotta Cash Desto was known for her amazing lyrics, and her IG posts, which always showed the young hip hop star carrying large stacks of money.
According to local media reports in Houston, Lotta was shot and killed early Saturday in West Houston. The incident reportedly took place at around 2:30 a.m. local time while Lotta was driving a Porsche SUV with at least one passenger.
Social media reports say that a group of masked men pulled up on Lotta, and shot her – then robbed the pretty female rapper while she lay dying. It’s not clear what the robbers were after.
Once they arrived at the scene, police found two women with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle. Lotta was immediately pronounced dead; while the other woman was transported to the hospital.
A male shooting victim was reportedly found nearby, and taken to a medical facility in a private vehicle.
The Houston Police Department said the two individuals—believed to be in the early 20s—sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and are expected to survive.
