Rapper Russ hopped on social media to air out his grievances against XXL Magazine.
XXL posted an article of Russ’s performance at Egypt’s Pyramids back in 2022 and claimed Travis Scott’s upcoming Utopia show at the Pyramids would be the first time a rapper done so.
But Russ was first.
“Nah I didn’t remind fans, mine knew,” Russ wrote. “A rap media page (most likely run by a white kid who says the n word who swears he’s misunderstood and just needs to rage) said that he was the first to perform at the pyramids..I reminded that page Thanks for the skewed narrative and excellent journalism per usual tho XXL.”
After his tweet went viral, Russ returned to Twitter to thank his fans.
“real fans…people who support the lyrics and the message of the music..I’m blessed. Y’all support me in a lot of different ways and it doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you,” he said.
