Rapper Playboi Carti, who shares a son with female rapper Iggy Azalea, was arrested after his pregnant girlfriend called the police, Media Take Out confirmed.
The woman told police that Carti pushed her, and then grabbed her by her neck and strangled her until she could barely breathe. According to the pregnant woman, she thought she was going to die.
The woman claims to be Playoi Carti’s girlfriend of 2 years, who has lived with him since July 2022. She also told the officers that she was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged incident on Dec. 20.
So what happened? Well Media Take Out confirmed that the woman and Playboi Carti were arguing about the paternity of the baby, and Playboi suggested that she take a paternity test.
The rapper’s request, according to his alleged baby’s mama, led to an argument, which escalated to a physical attack.
And the baby’s mother has witnesses. She told police a witness jumped in to try and break up the fight, and when she was able to escape Carti’s grasp. She then allegedly ran to her car, where she claims he attacked her again.
Eventually police were called and officers say the woman had visible injuries to her neck, chest and back.
