Bronx rapper Lil Tjay was arrested yesterday during a traffic stop in the Bronx. According to reports, the rapper was traveling in a black Cadillac Escalade with four other men in the vehicle. The cops reportedly recovered four handguns. He was on his way to a video shoot with Ice Spice and the vehicle was flagged because of its tinted windows and a missing front license plate.
Lil Tjay will be charged with criminal possession of a weapon. The arrest comes 7 months after Lil Tjay was shot several times during an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey.
Mohamed Konate, 27, was charged in the shooting and accused of attempting to rob Tjay and the rapper’s friends Jeffery Valdez and Antoine Boy. Tjay sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and neck. Konate was charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of armed robbery and various other unlawful weapons charges.
