Florida rapper Jackboy on multiple felony drug and weapons allegations.
Jackboy, whose real name is Pierre Delince, was riding in his black Chevrolet Suburban on Tuesday night when two Port St. Lucie police detectives spotted the SUV and pulled him over.
Officer says his windows were heavily tinted, and they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle as the vehicle drove down the street. Cops says when the vehicle pulled up at a stoplight, the driver allegedly called someone using FaceTime and continued after the light turned green and they resumed driving.
Jackboy is a convicted felon and his license was suspended. Cops found him to be in possession of a Glock 19 with an extended magazine, loaded with 32 rounds, as well as marijuana and cannabis-related products. His brother then showed up, claiming the weapon was his but the rapper was booked and charged with possession of a weapon by a felon, use or display of a firearm during a felony, possession of marijuana over 20 grams and multiple misdemeanors.
“Those corridors tend to have people traveling through the city, looking to commit crimes, so we’re very vigilant out in that area, putting our resources where we’ve been having problemsyou never know who you’re stopping, or what it could lead to,” Port St. Lucie Chief Richard Del Toro said in a statement obtained by MTO News.
