Legendary MMA fighter and actor Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been defending his son, Raja Jackson, who brutally attacked a wrestler in an unscripted assault. Still, in a recent interview, he agreed that his son should do some jail time.
“If the judge thinks he should go to jail, yeah, I think Raja should go to jail, so he’ll learn not to do this s–t no more. Like, you gotta control your emotions. People are saying he should go to jail for 10 years, no, he should go to jail, not prison. He should go to jail. Do a little time, and then get some therapy, and learn from this,” he said on The Ariel Helwani Show.
On August 23 at the KnokX Pro’s KnokXperience event in California, Raja was caught on camera attacking Syko Stu during what was meant to be a scripted appearance. Syko Stu was hospitalized with multiple injuries. The LAPD has since launched an investigation.
“If they try to give him years in prison, then I’mma fight it because I don’t think he deserves years in prison,” he said. “But jail? Let Raja go to jail for a couple days, so he’ll see what it’s like, so he’ll be like, ‘Man, I don’t wanna come back here.'”
Rampage also claims that he is no longer speaking to his son as Raja “dishonored” his name.
