R. Kelly’s ex-wife Drea Kelly revealed she will be spilling all of her tea in an upcoming tell-all book.
The 50-year-old dancer and reality dropped the bombshell video announcement of her book, Under The Red Carpet, alongside several images of jailed mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and her.
”Fame costs and right here is where you start paying for it in blood, sweat and tears…I did,” Drea says over the video.
Drea was married to R. Kelly for 13 years, from 1996 to 2009. They share three children: Abi, Jaah, and Robert Jr.
“I am a BEAST and a BUTTERFLY. God said it is so. The time has come to disrupt the deception. For years people have spoken on my life without knowing ANYTHING about me,” Drea wrote in the post’s caption.
She continued, “How crazy is it to speak on someone you NEVER MET or had a conversation with as FACT. Well, the time has come to speak without fear! No more forcing a smile to get thru the pain of being me. No more “be nice” to please an unpleasant world. My book is going to set so many free and if you have a problem….it’s not with me! Take it up with GOD. This is HIS will.”
In the comments, followers blasted Drea for still keeping her ex-husband’s last name, some are even calling it a money grab.
In February 2023, the disgraced R&B singer got hit with ANOTHER 20 years behind bars for child pornography and enticing minors for sex in Chicago. Kelly’s Chicago sentence is running at the same time as the 30-year bid he already received in New York for racketeering and sex trafficking.
