When Will originally popped the question during a rainy evening in Manhattan last year, Kenya didn’t let the inclement weather dampen her mood for a single second. She beautifully recalled a piece of timeless wisdom passed down by her legendary father, Quincy Jones, who tragically passed away in late 2024. Quincy always used to tell her, “When it rains, get wet!”—a beautiful, comforting sentiment that made the rainy engagement feel completely destined.
To keep her father’s spirit close to her heart during the ceremony, Kenya worked with her close friend and celebrity stylist Jason Rembert to construct a breathtaking, custom Brandon Maxwell drop-waist gown. The Peltz family is known for throwing absolute production-level events (who could forget Will’s sister Nicola Peltz’s massive Palm Beach wedding to Brooklyn Beckham?), but Will and Kenya wanted their weekend to feel deeply personal, warm, and tightly knit. Kenya walked down the aisle escorted by her father-in-law Nelson Peltz and her uncle Richard, while Will’s iconic mother, former fashion model Claudia Heffner Peltz, sweetly walked her son down the aisle holding his hand. For the main, larger ceremony the following day, Will’s billionaire father Nelson served proudly as his Best Man, while his mother Claudia took on the ultimate honor of being Kenya’s Matron of Honor. Will candidly told reporters that the second Kenya stepped onto the aisle, the entire world completely faded away. “I felt like I was waiting for eternity for Kenya. I wanted to see my bride.
