Quality Control’s Pee Thomas does not want anyone touching him until the monkeypox outbreak has ended.

“Let’s normalize ‘No handshaking, no dapping’ when we see each other,” he tweeted. “Just speaking only. This money pox sh-t is scary. Especially for people who got to go back home with their kids every day from being out in the field. Be careful everyone. This sh-t getting real.”

Last week, MediaTakeOut shared that Monkeypox had officially hit the city of Atlanta. The Fulton County Board of Health’s sexual health promotion director, Joshua O’Neal, called a town hall meeting, to talk about the explosion of Monkeypox in Atlanta.

In New York, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has declared a state of emergency due to the Monkeypox outbreak.

“We are continuing to see the numbers rise,” Mayor Adams said in a statement. “This order will bolster our existing efforts to educate, vaccinate, test, and treat as many New Yorkers as possible and ensure a whole-of-government response to this outbreak.”
