Florida prosecutors reportedly plan to subpoena Tiger Woods’ medical records as they build their DUI case against the golf star following his March rollover crash near his home.
In court papers filed June 13, the Martin County State’s Attorney’s Office said it intends to seek records from Cleveland Clinic Martin South Hospital in Stuart, FL, which the golfer visited on March 27.
Prosecutors are now requesting “any and all reports documenting statements of [Woods’] regarding alcohol or chemical substance use,” along with drug screen results and the name of the person who performed the testing.
The subpoena is expected to be formally issued on June 30, with Woods’ attorneys given 10 days to object.
Woods, 50, was arrested March 27 and charged with DUI and property damage after police said he flipped his SUV while trying to pass a pressure cleaning truck near Jupiter Island. Authorities said he was not injured but appeared lethargic, but had enough energy to call the president. Woods is in a relationship with the mother of Donald Trump Jr.’s children.
Police alleged Woods registered triple zeroes on a breathalyzer but refused a urinalysis test. Officers also reportedly found two opioid pills in his pocket.
Woods has pleaded not guilty and said he would step away to seek treatment in Zurich, Switzerland. He previously survived a 2021 rollover crash and pleaded guilty to reckless driving after a 2017 DUI arrest.
