In court, a prosecutor confirmed that Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez were in an intimate relationship before the shooting…even though Meg claimed they’d never been intimate in an interview.
Prosecutor Alexander Bott told the jury that Tory and Megan were romantically involved with each other and that the pair argued before Lanez allegedly shot her in the foot.
Fans were shocked because in an interview with Gayle King, King asked Megan whether she and Lanez were ever in a sexual relationship.
“I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory,” she said at the time.
Lanez is charged with one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm—personal use of a firearm—and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The rapper was also recently hit with an additional charge of “discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner to cause bodily injury.” He denies the charges against him. If convicted, he faces more than 20 years in prison and deportation back to Canada.
