Porsha Williams: “I Planned” My ‘RHOA’ Exit Before Headlines Hit!

Porsha Williams is setting the record straight about her break from The Real Housewives of Atlanta and the headlines that followed.

Fans questioned whether her departure after Season 13 was linked to backlash over her romance with Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of fellow cast member Falynn Pina at the time but Porsha says her decision to walk away had nothing to do with her controversial new romance.

Appearing on Reality With the King, she explained the choice was intentional.

“For the record, I left Housewives for that break when I was around 40. I had planned for that financially, mentally, everything. I knew I was going to give myself that time to step away.”

Her relationship with Simon moved quickly, leading to marriage before ending in divorce just over a year later. Addressing lingering tension, Porsha said of Falynn, “It is what it is.”

She also shared that public reaction may have been different if she had spoken more openly at the time.

When asked about karma following the split, Porsha pushed back.

“Well, if it was my karma, it’s good karma,” she said. “I’m in a great place, you know? Although I loved him and I would have loved for our relationship to work out, what’s best is where I am now. Sometimes, when you marry someone, no matter what your intentions are, how hard you work at trying to make it…it just doesn’t work out.”
