Rapper Polo G was arrested in New York as the rapper after a loaded weapon was found in his Manhattan hotel room.
The weapon was reported to by a maid who was cleaning the rapper’s room at the hotel. The Chicago rapper, real name Taurus Bartlett, is now facing charges of criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a loaded firearm.
He was released on $25,000 bail and has a court date slated for June 4.
In November, the rapper’s brother Trench Baby, real name Taurean Bartlett, was charged with felony murder over the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Dashaun Berry.
The shooting reportedly went down in Los Angeles on June 10 where his body was found in a parking lot in the early hours of the morning. A court date has been scheduled for Trench Baby for Monday and until then, he is Los Angeles’ Men’s Central Jail, with his next court date scheduled for Nov. 27.
