Dorit Kemsley has been ordered to move out of the $7 million Los Angeles home she shared with estranged husband PK Kemsley as their bitter divorce battle spills over into real estate.
A judge ruled Wednesday that the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom property must be sold and ordered the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star to leave by November, according to TMZ. Dorit agreed to the sale.
The decision followed a dispute over who should pay the mortgage and other property-related expenses. PK claimed Dorit had fallen behind on mortgage payments, while Dorit maintained that PK should cover the costs and had the money to do so.
Their attorneys ultimately reached an agreement allowing the sale to proceed.
Dorit selected Buying Beverly Hills real estate agent Zach Goldsmith to list the home. The estranged spouses had previously blamed each other for holding up the process, with PK accusing Dorit of delaying the sale and Dorit claiming he would not sign the agreement involving Goldsmith.
Under the judge’s order, PK will become a manager of the LLC that owns the property and assist with the sale.
Dorit is responsible for utilities and any “past-due bills” while she remains in the house. PK will continue paying the mortgage until she moves, but he will be reimbursed from the eventual sale proceeds.
The judge denied PK’s request to sanction Dorit.
